Training and capacity building of teachers to effectively deliver the ‘Learn to Read’ program and utlisation of the Library.
Curated Books aligned to SDGs
Age appropriate level - wise books. The content of these books is aligned to 17 SDGs , STEM and Child Rights & Justice.
Perpetuity Program (PP)
PP ensures sustainability where in there is maintenance, upgradation and monitoring of the library for 15 years.
METHODOLOGY
STEP 1 : SETUP LIBRARY
Establish attractive and functional primary school libraries with easy to access and flexible seating
STEP 2 : PROVIDE BOOKS
Anandaya provides a level wise series of Learn-to-Read English books (phonetics) to the library
STEP 3 : TRAINING OF TEACHERS (TOT)
Training (skilling) of Teachers to deliver the Learn-to-Read program to children
STEP 4 : OBSERVATION & DEMONSTRATION
Anandaya conducts bi-monthly demonstration and observation visits to each school over a two-year period to ensure effective implementation of the Learn-to-Read program by teachers.
STEP 5 : PRINCIPAL CONFERENCES
Conduct principal conferences to foster ownership, provide orientation, set expectations, and address daily challenges for the effective operation of the library.
STEP 6 : MONITORING & EVALUATION
Monthly monitoring and evaluation of the library delivery mechanism is conducted to ensure effective implementation and performance.
STEP 7 : IMPACT ASSESSMENT
Impact assessments for students, teachers, and parents are conducted, with student reading fluency measured through third-party baseline and endline assessments
STEP 8 : LIBRARY RANKING REPORT
Anandaya provides quarterly school-wise library rankings to government authorities using a graded system (Red, Amber, Green) to drive continuous improvement.
